Angels Hang 4-1 Loss on Braves
|
The Anaheim Angels got a rain-soaked win over the Atlanta Braves.
The Anaheim Angels picked up a win at Turner Field, knocking off the Atlanta Braves, 4-1. On the mound for Anaheim was right-hander Toby Delaney. He played a key role in the triumph. Delaney picked up the win for Anaheim, going 7 innings. He gave up 1 run on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 5-0. Rob Williamson finished the game for Anaheim and earned his 10th save.
Anaheim went in front, 3-0, on Anthony Sorensen's 7th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Sorensen hit in the top of the seventh, left Atlanta pitcher Josh Ferris visibly perturbed.
"Coulda, shoulda, woulda," said Atlanta manager Corn Cob. "We had our chances and didn't cash in."
The Angels saw their win-loss record go to 16-22. At the same time, the Braves fell to 21-15.
