 | SABL Best Hitter Award to Rio de Janiero's Juan Ramos Thursday, September 1st, 2044 Juan Ramos is not used to being associated with Batter of the Month-caliber players, but today the Rio de Janiero first baseman joined that select company when the South America Baseball League announced the results of August's voting. Ramos totaled 38 hits, 10 walks, 11 home runs, 29 RBIs and 19 runs scored last month to put together a .409 batting average and .466 on-base percentage. This season Ramos is batting .327 with 66 hits, 17 home runs, 52 RBIs, 25 walks, .394 OBP and has scored 37 runs. He has played in 53 games. |   |
