GBC Awards Player of the Week Monday, May 20th , 2058 Few players his age are still in the league, but Chua-kah Yang of the Cairo Pharaohs clearly loves the game and clearly he can still get the job done. Last week the 38-year-old first baseman hit the ball with the consistency of someone ten years younger, which made Yang a popular and well-deserved selection as Global Baseball Consortium Player of the Week. He paced the Pharaohs attack by putting up a .370 batting average, 10 hits in 27 at-bats, 10 RBIs and 4 home runs. Yang also scored 7 runs. Yang is batting .322 this year with 12 home runs, 42 RBIs and 33 runs scored. He has 55 hits in 171 at-bats. |
