Midgett Belts 5 Hits Wednesday, February 13th , 2058 Fans at Capital Territory Ballpark got to see not only a home-team victory today, but also one of the most impressive feats of hitting of the season. The U.S. Coast Guard Bears outplayed the U.S. Navy Midshipmen en route to a 20-2 win, but the standout was center fielder Tom Midgett. Midgett netted 5 hits in 5 at-bats and finished with a dynamite game line. "Hey, we tried everything we could think of to get him out," Midshipmen manager Nolan Robinson said in postgame comments. "We threw everything but the kitchen sink against him and he hit it. Maybe we should've thrown the sink, too." Tom Midgett doubled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, walked in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 8th. Midgett is hitting .341 in 2058 with 20 RBIs and 4 home runs.
