The Frick League Pacific Division club have battled to the bitter end and have come up with a wild card berth. "It's satisfying to clinch the playoffs so late in the season," said reliever Jim Achbar. "You start to doubt yourself and wonder if you can even make it." But the Bears have in fact made it, with their 81-82 record holding up to now give them a chance at the franchise's 2nd Brewster Baseball Association championship. |
