Postseason Bid Ends for Boise Friday, September 20th , 2058 It wasn't meant to be for the Boise Spuds this year. Despite a tough battle, they were eliminated from playoff contention today. "It is a bad feeling," said Spuds center fielder Lou Bayou. "Once you get into the playoffs, anything can happen. But you've gotta get in there first, and we weren't able to do that." This is the club's 2nd playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 2056. In total, the Spuds have missed the playoffs 18 times in their 24-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Spuds have made the playoffs 3 times. |
