Romero for Hang in Blockbuster Deal Monday, August 26th , 2058 There's a big story on the baseball front today as the Vancouver Mounties have acquired 33-year old RHP You-cheng Hang from the San Fernando Bears in a move that has reportedly been brewing for days. In return, San Fernando will receive 35-year old RHP Alberto Romero and 18-year old minor league RHP Harland Werth. "It wasn't easy but we are happy with the outcome," said Vancouver GM Wharram. San Fernando will retain a portion of Hang's remaining contract. To date this year Romero has fashioned a 5.45 ERA over 38 innings with a 0-1 record. He has made 23 relief appearances with 35 strikeouts and 1 save. Hang has nailed down 2 saves for the year. He has also totaled 36 strikeouts and 23 walks in 48 innings while registering a 4.31 ERA and a 2-4 won-lost record. |
