Vargas Wins FL Honor Monday, August 5th , 2058 Once you hit 35, it's hard to say how much time you've got left in baseball. Reggie Vargas has been fortunate as his numbers for the past week bear out. The 38-year-old left fielder, a favorite in the Omaha Cyclones clubhouse, hit .423 last week as he put up Player of the Week numbers. Vargas also put together 11 hits in 26 at-bats, 4 home runs and 7 RBIs for the week. To date this season Vargas is hitting .293 with 29 home runs. |
