Shed Raps Portland for 5 Hits Saturday, August 3rd , 2058 5 hits in a game is a rare thing, but Valencia's Miller Shed made it happen today against the Lumberjacks. Everything came together at the plate for the 23-year-old second baseman as he collected 5 hits in 6 at-bats -- and led the Stars to a 10-4 win at The Trail in Multnomah. "I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Shed said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats today. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em." Miller Shed flied out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th, singled in the 9th and hit an RBI single in the 11th.
