Veenman Batters Louisville for 5 Hits Monday, August 12th , 2047 All game long, Long Beach's Hedde Veenman was rattling the walls at Vito Costantino Memorial Stadium and banging out base hits against the Louisville Sluggers. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the Surfers had a 10-6 victory. Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 33-year-old catcher said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this."
