Browning Fires Shutout in Sluggers Victory Saturday, July 27th , 2047 James Browning was throwing strikes early and getting ahead in the count, his manager said after the Louisville Sluggers hurler tossed a 4-hit, complete game shutout against the Sacramento Mad Popes. "I went right after each hitter, trying to get ahead in the count," said Browning. "I wanted them to swing the bats and keep my pitch count down. It worked. I felt strong the whole game, even in the last two innings." Browning walked 2 and struck out 5 in the 7-0 victory. So far this season, Browning has logged a 5-4 record with a 3.21 ERA.
