 | García Booms 3 Homers Friday, September 7th, 2046 Manny García brutalized the San Fernando Bears pitching staff, launching three home runs in today's 8-6 victory at Hawai'i Le'ahi Diamond Head Baseball Park. The Hawaii Tropics center fielder was red-hot, the ball just exploding off his bat all day. "I don't try to hit homers," he said later. "I try to go out there and put a good swing on the ball, and sometimes it is going to go out of the park. I didn't try to hit the first one or the second one or the third one." For the game, he went 3-for-4 with 6 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "Too much Manny García today," Bears manager Kang Der said. "That's my assessment of the game. That's what our problems boiled down to." Manny García flied out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Tadamichi Ando in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Tadamichi Ando in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off Nate Horswill in the 7th. In the current season, García has put up a .264 batting average with 85 hits, 17 home runs, 42 RBI and scored 55 runs. |   |
