 | Shibutani Voted August's Top FL Rookie Saturday, September 1st, 2046 Hideaki Shibutani might not have fully digested the impact of winning August's Frick League Rookie of the Month award when he got the news earlier today, but the 24-year-old quickly learned that he was no longer your typical rookie. Posting a mark of 4-0 won-lost record will do that. In 5 starts he tossed 33.2 innings with 34 strikeouts and a 2.14 ERA. Opposing teams hit .157 against him during the month. Not bad for a first-year man. To date Shibutani is 9-12 in 27 starts with a 5.15 ERA and has 126 strikeouts in 155.2 innings. |   |
