 | Chicago's Ramírez Gets 2000th Hit Wednesday, August 16th, 2045 Black Sox shortstop Jaime Ramírez never thought his name would be associated with some of the great players in league history. Now that he has reached the 2000-hit threshold, that's all but guaranteed. Ramírez collected his big hit in a 12-5 loss to Twin Cities. Afterward, he thought about the achievement: "Overwhelmed," he said. "That's how I feel about it right now." Ramírez went 2-for-4 for the game.
