 | Hawaii Trades Soethout for Louisville's Hubbard Tuesday, May 12th, 2043 Sometimes a change of scenery can be a beneficial to a baseball player. That is the hope in Hawaii and Louisville as the teams came to an agreement today which sends 23-year-old CF Doeke Soethout, 26-year-old LHP Dominic Lawrence, 23-year-old minor league RHP Steve Flannery, 20-year-old minor league 2B Luis Mendoza and 16-year-old minor league CF Kyuichi Mori to the Sluggers and 24-year-old CF Ronnie Hubbard, 21-year-old minor league RHP Alberto Castaneda and $5,000,000 in cash to the Tropics. "Only time will tell if this is the right move for everyone," stated the Louisville GM. In his stats this season, Soethout has posted a batting average of .145 with 10 hits in 69 at-bats, 1 home run and 6 RBIs. He has also scored 6 runs, walked 2 times and compiled a .203 OBP. For the season Hubbard has produced 37 hits in 128 at-bats for a .289 average with 5 home runs and gotten on base at a .343 clip. |   |
