 | Gutiérrez Hits in 20 Consecutive Games Friday, April 11th, 2042 The streak is alive and well -- at least for today. Rafael Gutiérrez did it again, bashing 4 hits in the contest at Honigsfeld Field today. For the last 20 games in a row, the 23-year-old third baseman has collected at least one hit. His efforts helped the Louisville Sluggers beat the Valencia Stars 16-12 today. "I'm happy I kept the streak going," Gutiérrez told a standing-room-only crowd of reporters gathered in the Louisville clubhouse. "Honestly though, I'm looking forward to going home and not thinking about this for the rest of the day." Rafael Gutiérrez walked in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, walked in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 9th and hit an RBI single in the 10th. In the 2042 season Gutiérrez is hitting .514 with no home runs. |   |
