Las Vegas right-hander Mike Alexander helped his team edge Rockville by the score of 2-1. Alexander kept the opposing lineup in check. Alexander, now 5-3, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 5, walking 3, and allowing 1 run. Todd Stone got credit for the save for Las Vegas. It was his 16th of the year.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Hustlers had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fourth, when designated hitter Michael Pedarzolli hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Jimmy Fisher and made the score 2-1, Hustlers. Pedarzolli was 2-3 with 2 singles.
"We found a way to get it done," Alexander said.
This win makes it 5 in a row for Las Vegas.
