Hawaii Stumbles Again, Falls, 3-2, to Bikini
|
Getting a good performance from right fielder Zorya Maidykov, the Bikini Krill defeated the Hawaii Tropics, 3-2. Maidykov went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Krill. The winning pitcher was Jayden Nicholls. He tossed 80 pitches over 5 innings, allowing 2 runs on 7 hits. Shea Valance earned his 18th save in 25 chances.
In the top of the third inning, Bikini got a key at-bat from Maidykov. With one out, a runner on 2nd and the Krill trailing 2-0, Maidykov hit a 2-run home run.
Maidykov told the Bikini Times: "I don't know which I enjoy more -- being a ballplayer or the perks that come with being a ballplayer."
Bikini is now 64-70. Hawaii is 64-70.
