Sluggers Best Cyclones in Pitching Duel
|
Louisville Sluggers pitcher Greg Shaw was in fine form, leading his team past the Omaha Cyclones, 2-1. James Kidd, now 2-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. Aelbehrt Schlöndorff collected his 1st save.
Louisville took a 1-0 lead on Gary Grant's 1st home run of the season. The solo home run, which Grant hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Omaha pitcher Takashi Nakamura shaking his head.
"Another day, another win. On to the next one," Grant told the Louisville Today.
With the win, Louisville goes to 3-3.
