García Shuts Out Yellow Springs, 10-0
|
In an outstanding mound performance, Vancouver Mounties starter Juan García fired a complete-game shutout against the Yellow Springs Nine at Utopia Field.
García was the key to the 10-0 Vancouver win. The 30-year-old right-hander was in high spirits for much of the game, his mood largely unfazed by the 3 hits and no walks he allowed.
"3 hits?" he said with a laugh following the game. "Listen, I'd be happy with a 30-hitter, as long as it was a shutout."
So far this year, García has a 5-3 record with a 1.77 ERA.
