Bears Lose, 6-4
|
San Fernando got a terrific game from first baseman Michael Schultz. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Omaha, 6-4. Schultz was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Dave Ferrell earned the save for Omaha, his 13th. Omaha is 26-17 and San Fernando, with the loss, 22-21.
Logan Niles helped the Omaha cause with one out in the top of the seventh. Batting with the bases loaded and Omaha leading 5-4, he hit a sacrifice fly.
"No time for flexing," said Niles. "It's always one game at a time."
