Cyclones Need Extra Frames to Get Past Kernels
The Omaha Cyclones used the hitting of designated hitter Keaton Guest to subdue the Des Moines Kernels, 7-5, in 10 innings. For the game, Guest was 4 for 4 with 4 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI. Omaha reliever Kutaiba Abdul-Nasser picked up the win to move to 1-2. Scott Everard suffered the loss. Omaha has a mark of 16-12 after the win.

Omaha used the timely hitting of Takeichi Suzuki to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Cyclones on top, 7-5. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"That was your kind of game, if you like high drama," said Cyclones manager Sylvester Reed.
