The Bears grabbed a win, 2-1, at Chico's Bail Bonds Field, overcoming a fine effort from Vancouver pitcher Motka Beteev. Beteev went 7.1 innings and allowed 2 runs. Ben Weaver, now 2-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.1 innings. The Bears now own a record of 62-58.
Félix Ramos, who finished 5th in the FL in runs with 108 in 2059, helped out the San Fernando cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the first baseman was 1 for 4.
Ramos said his team "played with focus."
