The Hawaii Tropics earned a win at Dunn Field, stopping the Valencia Stars, 3-2. Starting pitcher Gerardo Rea played a big role in his team's success. The win moves Hawaii to a record of 5-7.

Hawaii used a clutch hit from Jake Diamond to get the win. The pinch hitter drilled a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Tropics ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a doozy.

After the game, Hawaii manager Rich Kerr applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
