Wu Slugs Cyclones to 11-6 Win
The Omaha Cyclones beat the Des Moines Kernels by a score of 11-6. Omaha center fielder Du Wu deserved the lion's share of the credit. Wu hit 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice for the Cyclones. Mathis Gérard earned the save for Omaha, his 1st of the year. With the win, Omaha raised its record to 61-48.

Wu had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 2-1 fastball from Walt Stadler, he banged a 3-run home run to right-center, giving the Cyclones a 8-6 lead. It was the 19th home run of the year for Wu.

"It's still just a game," said Wu, "whether you win or lose."
