Kernels Beat Cyclones, 4-1

The Des Moines Kernels beat the Omaha Cyclones, 4-1, at Mordonez Ballpark. Starting pitcher Dave Lachance was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Des Moines now sits in 4th place in the Frick League Heartland Division at 52-55.
Des Moines used a well-timed hit by Ricardo Norman to capture the win. The first baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Kernels ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.
Lachance attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."
