Clontz slugs 2 home runs, Ignites Brooklyn Offense
The Brooklyn Robins beat the Boise Spuds, 6-3, at McDermott Park at Ebbets Field. Parker Clontz, in particular, was impressive. He went 3-4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. José Hernández got the save, his 7th in 12 chances. The Robins now have a record of 23-59.

Clontz contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Brooklyn in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 3-0, Clontz took a splitter from Jeremy Nickerson and stroked the home run to right-center. His 6th home run of the season allowed the Robins to leap in front, 4-3.

Clontz called the win "a lesson in teamwork."
