Jones Hurls 5-0 Shutout
|
Kent Jones dominated the Sydney Sharks with a brilliant 4-hit shutout in a Jerusalem Hebrew Hammers 5-0 triumph at The Holy Land. The Jerusalem hurler fanned 5 and walked 0 in the game and was singled out for praise afterward by the opposing manager.
"He really kept us in check today," Sharks skipper Kang Der said in postgame comments. "Everything looked to be moving. Seemed like the pitch was right down the middle and it went over down and away. We took some pathetic swings."
Up to now Jones has recorded a record of 9-10. In 7 starts he has fanned 72 batters in 102 innings with a 3.00 ERA.
