Thunder Bears Earn Late 5-4 Win
The Moscow Thunder Bears did just enough to sneak past the Sao Paulo Pilots, 5-4, at Bears Den. Moscow pitcher Yoshino Endo, in particular, had a standout performance. Eric Buckson snagged the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits over 1.2 innings. He's now 6-0 on the season. The Thunder Bears, at 70-50, have now won 7 straight.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the ninth for Moscow. That's when Godofredo Chucha hit a run-scoring double off 35-year old right-handed pitcher Derry Vacher to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"The fans went nuts at the end," Endo said.
