Hebrew Hammers Top Pilots to Even Record
|
The Jerusalem Hebrew Hammers picked up a win at The Holy Land, knocking off the Sao Paulo Pilots, 4-2. Starting pitcher Kent Jones was a big reason why. The 4th-place Hebrew Hammers improved to 67-67.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Hebrew Hammers had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the third, when shortstop Miguel De La Cruz hit a 2-run single. The single came off Chris Hilliard and made the score 4-1, Hebrew Hammers. De La Cruz was 1 for 3 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI.
De La Cruz said his team "played with determination."
