Late Magic Gets San Fernando 6-3 Win
|
Clinton Tyler made an impact in the 6-3 San Fernando win over Valencia. Tyler, who signed a 4-year contract worth $30,000,000 on 12/31/2057, was 1 for 3 with a double and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. San Fernando reliever Jim Achbar picked up the win to move to 3-0. Siua Hooheno suffered the loss. The Bears now have a mark of 76-80.
In the bottom of the eighth, Tyler put his team in front with his 21st double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which came against Siua Hooheno, made it 5-3, San Fernando.
"There are times you get yourself out and there are times you come through," Tyler said. "That's how it goes."
