Hebrew Hammers Absorb 5-1 Loss at Manama Fields
|
The home crowd had a good time watching the Jerusalem Hebrew Hammers and Tokyo Pearls get after it.
Umar Dogar never let Jerusalem get something going. The Tokyo right-hander commanded his changeup in pitching the Pearls to a 5-1 win. Dogar, now 3-1, was the winner. In 5.1 innings, he gave up 2 hits, while striking out 3, walking 2, and allowing 1 run.
Adel bin Husam al Din made an early impact for Tokyo when he stroked his 7th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which came with one out in the bottom of the third, put the Pearls on top, 5-0.
"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Pearls manager César Valdéz, "I like our chances."
Tokyo is now 19-17.
