The first-place Johannesburg Gold took on the Cairo Pharaohs in front of a spirited crowd.
The Johannesburg Gold dealt the Cairo Pharaohs a 5-1 loss at Golden Palace. George McCoy, who led the GBC EA in on-base percentage with .408 in 2063, was the star on offense. He went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The winning pitcher was Doug Eckhoff. He tossed 80 pitches over 5.1 innings, allowing 1 run on 4 hits.
