Cooper Wins Award for SAN Dominance Tuesday, April 19th , 2174 He may only be 21, but Donald Cooper of the Hillsboro Hops has already established himself as one of the elite relievers in the SA North. The reliever was today named the SAN Reliever of the Year Award winner for 2173. He won the award with a strong year that saw him put up 28 saves in 38 relief appearances and 40 strikeouts in 40.2 innings. He had a record of 4-0 to go with his 0.89 ERA. He received 19 first place votes out of a possible 30. Ángel Rivera of the Bristol Sox finished second in voting with 11 first place votes, while Gordon Howell of the Batavia Muckdogs finished third.
