O'Keevan Pounds 3 HR Saturday, August 5th, 2124 It was a day for the record books for Augusta Greenjackets first baseman Stephen O'Keevan, who walloped three out of Lake Olmstead Stadium against the Power. However, not even a three-homer game could prevent the Power from taking the 6-5 victory. "We threw some good pitches and they hit 'em, and we made some bad pitches and they hit 'em. That's a good strategy for losing ballgames," Augusta skipper joked after the loss. O'Keevan still had a few opportunities to celebrate along the way. He was 3-for-4 for the day, batting in 4 runs and scoring 3 times. "I never, ever thought I would hit three home runs," O'Keevan said. "I hit three home runs once when I was 12 in Little League and I thought that was going to be the last time." Stephen O'Keevan hit a two-run home run off Frank Fisher in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Frank Fisher in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Chris Herman in the 6th and struck out in the 8th. O'Keevan is currently batting .255 with 19 home runs and 55 RBIs. |
