It's a No-No for Parks
Tuesday, August 25th , 2172
In a dominant outing, Donnie Parks of the Greenville Drive totally silenced the bats of the Savannah Sand Gnats, finishing with a no-hitter.
In the 1-0 victory, Parks faced only 29 batters, surrendered no hits, had 10 strikeouts and 2 walks.
"Honestly, I didn't even know the situation was what it was until the seventh inning," Greenville manager said. "I happened to look up there to see how many hits we had gotten, and I happened to notice that they hadn't gotten any."
Commenting on the defeat, losing manager told reporters in the clubhouse that he had a "simple" analysis of the game.
"The Drive had all the hits and all the runs, so they won," he snapped. "But yeah, Parks pitched a heck of a ballgame."
To this point in the season Parks has 7 wins and 6 losses and a 2.36 ERA.
