It's Over: Rock Cats Stop Clemons Thursday, August 20th , 2172 It was a doubly miserable day for William Clemons of the Midland Rock Hounds, as he saw his 21-game hitting streak end and his team lose, 5-3, to the New Britain Rock Cats at New Britain Stadium. The 23-year-old left fielder was held hitless in 5 at-bats by the Rock Cats. "Anyone on a 21-game hitting streak is going to be a tough out," New Britain manager said later. "But we had a plan and we were careful about it, and got it done." Currently Clemons is batting .341 with 25 home runs and 78 RBIs. |
