Kannapolis third baseman Ángelo Cruz had a day to remember, 5-for-5 against the Greensboro Grasshoppers at NewBridge Bank Park as the Intimidators picked up a win, 11-2.

"He was patient up there," Kannapolis skipper told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly aggressive. Cruz has a tendency to chase bad balls sometimes."

Ángelo Cruz singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Pancho Galló in the 5th, singled in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.

To date, Cruz has collected 23 hits for a .371 average. He has posted 5 home runs, scored 13 runs and driven in 11 runs.
