Loons Move on to Round 3
The Great Lakes Loons and Savannah Sand Gnats held nothing back in an entertaining Round 2 that went the distance.

In the end, it will be Great Lakes advancing to the Round 3, after a 5-3 triumph in the final game at Grayson Stadium, to wrap up the series 3-2.

The Loons players celebrated jubilantly in their clubhouse after the game, while the scene was one of dismay on the opposing side for the Sand Gnats.

Sean Jones was named series MVP for Great Lakes. For the series, Jones hit .348 with a .348 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 4 runs.

The Great Lakes Loons will play against the Kannapolis Intimidators in the next round. Kannapolis won their series against the Greenville Drive 3 games to 1. The Round 3 schedule will be announced after the Round 2 finishes.
