 | Gamblers Star Wins Pitcher of the Year Award Thursday, January 2nd, 2042 The Tallahassee Gamblers have a rising superstar or maybe even a budding Hall-of-Famer in the making. It's Carlos Flores, this year's Florida Prospect League Pitcher of the Year Award selection. This blossoming hurler wowed fans, peers and sportswriters with a fabulous performance. Flores compiled a 4-0 record in 7 starts, tallied 69 strikeouts in 43.2 innings and recorded a 1.65 ERA. Other clubs managed only a .200 batting average against him. He received 25 first place votes out of a possible 32.
