The Apalachicola Robins shortstop tore up the Sopchoppy Cougars to the tune of 5 hits in 6 at-bats at Cola Field today. The offensive onslaught from Walton powered the Robins to a 24-0 win.
"Walton was a tough out today," Sopchoppy manager Ken Hardy said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure."
Dick Walton walked in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Brendan Buckby in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and struck out in the 8th.
