Red Stixx Pitching Ravaged by Mercer Friday, August 2nd , 2058 All game long, Changchun's Duane Mercer was rattling the walls at Chippers Ballpark and banging out base hits against the Danshui Red Stixx. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the Chippers had a 12-11 victory. Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 31-year-old left fielder said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this." Duane Mercer flied out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, struck out in the 5th, doubled in the 7th, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 9th and hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 11th.
