 | Top SABL Reliever Honored Friday, September 23rd, 2044 The Reliever of the Year Award goes to the South America Baseball League reliever who put forward the strongest season. This season, that player was Clint Gentry of the Santiago Tabaqueros, who was above all his peers in 2044. "I just feel like the ball was doing what I wanted it to this year and I was in command most nights out there," he said. "Some days you don't have your best stuff, but I didn't have too many of those days this year." On the season, Gentry pitched 66.1 innings, with 63 strikeouts and an ERA of 2.04. He also had 40 saves in 55 relief appearances. He received 4 first place votes out of a possible 12. Luis Taváres of the Lima Reyes finished second in voting with 4 first place votes, while Rafael Sosa of the Caracas Crows finished third with 3 first place votes.
