Kekepana Parks 3 HR in the Seats Monday, February 11th , 2058 Caine Kekepana of the Chiefs went on a hitting spree at Ankara HS Grounds today and earned membership in the select club of hitters who have hit three home runs in a game. He blasted three into the stands in a 9-7 loss to the Perth Galaxy. "I'm not happy with the outcome of the game, but it was still a great game for me," Kekepana said in the clubhouse following the loss. "I have been making solid contact lately, but not getting any lift. Today I got it up in the air and out of the ballpark. I had my home run swing down pat. Got some good pitches to hit, too." The Pago Pago left fielder did indeed have quite a game, collecting 3 hits in 5 at-bats, 6 RBIs and scoring 3 runs. Caine Kekepana hit a two-run home run off Ho-win Seow in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Logan Donaldson in the 6th, hit a three-run home run off Hal Toman in the 7th and flied out in the 9th. Thus far this year Kekepana is hitting .309 with 8 home runs, 29 RBIs and 25 runs scored. |
