Ferede Week's Best in SL1 Monday, January 28th , 2058 No single hit brought Kupe Ferede Player of the Week honors -- the Weno Crush third baseman corralled the award with a consistent approach in every at-bat. "Hitting is all about discipline," said Ferede. "When you lose focus, start to lunge at the ball and swing too aggressively... swinging at a lot of bad pitches... that's when your average starts to drop and you wind up fighting for playing time. You're most successful when you concentrate on the ball and make 'em throw strikes." Concentrate he did. Ferede stroked 8 hits in 15 at-bats while cranking out 2 home runs, 5 RBIs and 5 runs scored. So far this year, Ferede is batting .402 with 4 home runs and 14 RBIs. |
