Sadler Raps 3 HR Against Water Wolves Friday, January 25th , 2058 Perth first baseman Clint Sadler blasted three homers today at Nordiques Ballpark in the 9-5 Galaxy victory over the Wellington Water Wolves. For the game, Clint Sadler scored 4 times and knocked in 6 runs. When he hit his last home run, his teammates, hearing the crack of the bat, leaped off the bench and rushed on the field to greet the jubilant Sadler when he reached home plate. "It was just one game, but it sure was a lot of fun -- 3-for-3, three roundtrippers and a win," a gleeful Sadler told BNN reporters in a postgame interview. "What a day." Clint Sadler hit a solo-shot off Marcello Whiskin in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, walked in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Wesley Tylor in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Ralph Considine in the 9th. So far this year Sadler is hitting .263 with 6 home runs. |
