Grimes of Melbourne Injured in Off-Field Incident Friday, March 2nd , 2057 In a news release, the Melbourne Ports announced that reliever Jake Grimes has a broken kneecap. The injury will keep Grimes out of action for about 7-8 months. The statement did not indicate how the mishap occurred. To date this year, he has registered no saves, no wins and 3 losses with a 6.08 ERA. Grimes has made no relief appearances, worked a total of 23.2 innings and surrendered 22 hits. He has fanned 33, issued 13 free passes and held opposing clubs to a .242 batting average. |
