Checkers Move on to Round 2 Saturday, February 24th , 2057 The championship dreams are still alive for the Koror Checkers, while it's back to the drawing board for the Guam Emperors. By a score of 9-6, Koror won the decisive game at Headhunters Field today. The Checkers took the series 4-2. Alewina Reihana of the Checkers was named the Round 1 MVP. "All our guys are really focused winning the Round 3," Reihana said. "I'm not too concerned about personal awards." The Koror Checkers will play against the Honiara Islanders in the next round.
