Beacons Come up Short of Playoffs Saturday, February 10th , 2057 It's not quite the championship run that fans in Brisbane might have envisioned. The Brisbane Beacons were mathematically eliminated from postseason contention today. "There are a lot of good clubs in Oceania Baseball Academy and unfortunately we couldn't quite make it into that elite group this year," said Beacons manager Isaias Middelkamp. The Beacons have missed the playoffs 16 times in their 20 years as a Oceania Baseball Academy franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 3rd in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2054. In the last 10 seasons, the Beacons have made the playoffs 4 times. Brisbane last won the Round 3 in 2054. |
