Patterson on a Tear, Hits for Cycle Wednesday, August 14th , 2058 Ira Patterson truly did it all at Malaysia Park today. The Tokyo Magic left fielder hit for the cycle -- collecting 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run -- as he paced his club to victory, 17-4 over the Kuala Lumpur Koalas. "You know that sweet sound you hear when you hit the ball just right? I heard that every time today," Patterson said later. "It was a heck of a feeling." It was a game good enough for him to make a little history. He bombed Kuala Lumpur pitching for 4 hits in 6 at-bats and his name will now go into the record books. Patterson also racked up 7 RBI and 2 runs scored in the game. Ira Patterson hit a two-run home run off Adil Ferran in the 1st, hit a two-run triple in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, grounded out in the 7th and walked in a run in the 9th.
